Server

• Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000 Server
• The IIS server services each machine in the environment. Plan for an extra 512MB per 500 clients.
• For installations of over 250 clients, we recommend using Microsoft SQL Server rather than MSDE as the database engine. SQL Server will have further hardware considerations.
  • SQL Server uses full-text indexing, which places additional demands on memory. Plan on an extra 512MB to 1GB if your installation will contain more than 250 clients.

Client (workstation or server)

• Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Workstation
